For over 30 years, Sirius Bio has combined organic essential oil expertise, responsible sourcing and rigorous quality standards.
Sirius was founded in 1994 by Gilles Berthoumieux, an agronomist specialising in tropical agriculture who had previously managed essential oil distilleries in Madagascar and the Comoros.
This field experience shaped a clear vision: quality begins with the plant, its environment, the producer’s expertise and careful control throughout the supply chain.
After returning to France, Gilles Berthoumieux worked with aromatherapy pioneers Sanoflore and Pierre Franchomme. He also contributed to the development of organic certification standards for essential oils with the Ministries of Agriculture and Health.
